I am looking to install an Exchange 2003 (no choice here) VM on Compellent storage. I am looking to protect this with a combination of Replays, Replication and VMware SRM. Can someone advise what the correct way of going about this is in terms of the VM and replays. For example, am I correct in thinking that the CITV appliance will not correctly quiese a virtual machine running Exchange? I am, therefore, assuming that Replay Manager is needed as per here --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHfuDFLZqrg. If this is the case does the VM need to use RDM's for its disk? What is the implication of using the standard vmdk? Apologies for all the questions but I am unable to find any documentation that fully addresses these points.
