Just got my new XPS 400, and removed Mcafee via add/remove programs (rebooting when it prompted me to).  Everything seemed fine, then I install my other AV software (avast).  When I disable AVAST (which I do from time to time) the security center pops up and reports that Mcafee may be disabled.  If I enable avast, it goes away.

 

I also notice, if I double click my security center icon, it says something to the effect of "Security Center detects you may have more than one Antivirus software installed" which is no longer the case.

 

I just want to know maybe what part of the registry or drive that windows is looking in, so I can remove all references to Mcafee and let the security center work with just the one AV software that I have.  I would hate to re-format, I've only had the system about a week (maybe even less than that) and other than this small "annoying" thing, the system runs great and didn't have a ton of unwanted software that I had to deal with.
