Hi guys. I hv bought Dell Inspiron 640m. Config is 1GB ram core dup XP home 1.66GHz.

The problem i'm facing is the moment I run any song in any player(like winamp , windows media player, rmplayer) the laptop gets slowed. It responds very lowly. And many a times in the middle of the song, everything goes off automatically, a blue screen appears saying Dumping memory.

 

This problem arises only when any media file isplayed. And I then tried formatting my laptop. But even after that the problem continued.

I checked the ram usage when i play songs. And it found out to be quite regular. And only 3-4% of processor is utilised.

But still the computer gets slow.

 

Plz gimmie some solution

I use SIGMATEL as my sound driver.
