Hi, we're in the process of doing some server consolidation on many older 2650s to a handful of 6850s.  Was surprised to see that my only power options are now 208V. (Versus the 110v I have on the 6650s I have).

 

Thus, we're trying to understand the cabinet power requirements.

 

Does anyone have some ideas on the average / max Amps each of those dual power supplies pull? I know it depends on the CPU load, drives installed/running, how many slots filled, etc, but I need to get at least a ballpark range.

 

It appears that our colo will only drop one 208V, 20A circuit per cabinet, so I'm thinking that I'm going to be power constrained rather than space constrained.  (bummer since I can get two 110v 15A, or one 110v 30A in each cab.)

 

Thoughts? Suggestions?  We install metered PDUs in all our cabs as well.
