i have the same on kernel 4.16.0-rc6-1.ga98eb00-default or 4.15.

did you have any luck with dell support?

I have the same issue on 4.15.0-12-generic. Mine appeared after the last XPS firmware update. I'm going to log a support ticket this morning.

Okay! Fixed. Steps to resolve (for me)

1. Reboot to BIOS.

2. Go to Wireless tab.

3. Disable Bluetooth and Apply.

4. Re-enable Bluetooth and Apply.

5. Exit and boot.

Bluetooth back.

Same issue here with Ubuntu 18.04 / Linux 4.15.0-12-generic / BIOS 1.2.1.

Do use 16.04? I'm asking because Dell Support sugested trying 16.04 first.

I am also on 18.04 - I have another issue (touchpad hardware problem) and am waiting on a new unit so I rolled forward to 18.04 to have a look at the new Gnome. But it worked fine post-that upgrade. The only change I can see is I updated the BIOS last night when prompted.

For me it fixes itself after a few suspends (as well as a reboot). But the problem recurs.

Problem re-appears periodically and requires a reboot to fix. Does anyone have a workaround for resetting Bluetooth WITHOUT a reboot? I have tried a bunch of things but it's like the device disappears. :(

Also rescanning the PCI devices with

# echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan

does not solve the problem

I have the same problem with my new 9370 device. It also happens during work without suspend. I need to reboot the machine an disable/enable bluetooth in BIOS. Please fix this asap or give us a good workaround.
