license issue
I have a customer with a license problem I don't understand.
Since he added 4 NDMP Server with and shared 4 drives ( DDS)
he get following message:
12/12/05 00:10:00 nsrd: registration info event: Server is disabled Too many devices
Cusomer has an Enterprise Edition, 4 x NDMP Client, 4 X Dynamic Drive Sharing license with no expiration.
He uses drives
2cbn
3cbn
12cbn
13cbn
as shared Drives. I see the following drive entries in
the Konfig:
"rd=eso-filer6:nrst2a";
"rd=eso-filer6:nrst1a";
"rd=eso-filer5:nrst2a";
"rd=eso-filer5:nrst1a";
"rd=eso-filer4:nrst2a";
"rd=eso-filer4:nrst1a";
"rd=eso-filer0:nrst2a";
"rd=eso-filer0:nrst1a";
"rd=eso-filer6:nrst3a";
"rd=eso-filer6:nrst0a";
"rd=eso-filer0:nrst0a";
"rd=eso-filer5:nrst3a";
"rd=eso-filer5:nrst0a";
"rd=eso-filer4:nrst3a";
"rd=eso-filer4:nrst0a";
"rd=eso-filer0:nrst3a";
/dev/rmt/13cbn;
/dev/rmt/3cbn;
/dev/rmt/0cbn
/dev/rmt/9cbn
/dev/rmt/1cbn
/dev/rmt/8cbn
/dev/rmt/11cbn
/dev/rmt/10cbn
/dev/rmt/12cbn
/dev/rmt/2cbn
/dev/rmt/4cbn
/dev/rmt/5cbn
/dev/rmt/6cbn
/dev/rmt/7cbn
So physically I see 14 drives. I believe with Network Edition should be licensed up to 16 drives.
Customer uses jbedit to setup DDS.
Has anybody seen similar issue?
In the meantime we are dealing with temp Storage Node licenses.
Regards,
Andreas
