Support Assist diappeared from my system spontaneously a few months go and 3 different Dell software specialists (from the Phillipines I think) failed to re-install the app - they took over my computer - following my own unsuccessful efforts.  In the end I reinstalled the OS and manged to get SupportAssist going again.  Now,  it has been issued  with an update and the  update installation kept failing.  I therefore completely uninistalled the app using the advanced uninstallation facility on REVO deleting all traces.  I then tried to reinstall Support Assist but the installation keeps failing. No surprise there!

I have tried every single remedy suggested on this forum, but none works for me.  I certainly don't intend to do a clean install of my OS or even a refresh install(which didn't work by the way)

For me, Support Assist is a total waste of my time.  When it works, it's great:  but i'm not the only one who's had problems.I shall check for updates manually and I also am on email notification for updates - but I've never actually received an email from Dell.

Meanwhile, if there are any suggestions as to how to get Support Assist to work again, I would be pleased to hear from you.   I am not optimistic.
