WE run windows xp, my husband, while getting rid of adware, got rid of the file to help us connect to the internet.  We connect by dsl. the modem works, but we cannot accept sockets to connect. We tried reinstalling from our cd, but it did not work. if anyone can give us some advice it would be appreciated. we run a dell 2,34 GHz, pentium 4, running the home edition of xp.
