My HD would not boot, HAL.DLL problem. After trying the usual "fixes" I was getting nowhere. Plan B was new HD and copy the info off of the old one before reformatting it.

I got a new HD and installed XP pro w/SP2. Added my old HAL problem HD with the honorable intention of copying My Documents to the new one.

Of course it won't let me access that directory, permissions issue…

Anyone know how to crack that?
