    Albert Nel is Sales Director for Asia Pacific and Japan at EMC’s Enterprise Content Division (ECD), responsible for regional revenue growth.

    He was most recently a Global Account Manager for strategic accounts, based in ECD’s California headquarters. Previously, he spent over five years developing the ECD business in South Africa. His past experience includes pre-sales and product management at IA Systems and Sybase.

    Nel holds an N.Dip, Credit Management from Tshwane University of Technology of South Africa and speaks Afrikaans and English. He is based in EMC’s Sydney offices.

    Over 20 years of experience as a senior executive and managing consultant with core competencies focused on business process engineering, imaging, records management and enterprise content management. The breadth of his knowledge includes the architectural design and development as well as project management of numerous global large-scale document/records management initiatives across all Life Sciences segments including Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Devices. Over his career, he has greatly expanded his technical competencies to include the design, development and integration of software solutions for EMC, Xerox, IBM, Microsoft and Oracle. He has managed the deployment of numerous successful, enterprise-class, flexible, cross-platform solutions that enable companies to respond faster and more effectively to changing business, legal and compliance needs while reducing IT costs and risk associated with unstructured, electronically stored information.

    Emilie Ditton

    Emilie Ditton is Head, Asia/Pacific Energy Insights and WW Mining. Emilie leads a team responsible for IDC’s Asia/Pacific energy industry and worldwide mining research programs, advisory and consulting activities. She provides fact-based research, analysis, and best practice advice, helping clients to make best use of information technology and assisting them in delivering their desired business outcomes.

    Emilie engages with energy (utilities and oil & gas) and mining organisations within the Asia Pacific region and globally to provide advice and support to their technology strategy decision making, as well as to the IT vendors that are supporting their technology transformations. Beginning her career in the utilities sector with AGL in Sydney during the introduction of price deregulation, she was a core team member that contributed to modeling the capital value of assets and their utilization across the network as the basis of pricing.

    Working within the IDC Insights team across Asia/Pacific and within the Energy Insights team globally, Emilie looks at the implications of the growth dynamics within the Asia Pacific region for the global trends experienced by the energy sector for the technology strategies that energy companies need to have in place. She also continues to support and provide oversight to the Australia Vertical Markets program; her team cover seven verticals within this program, including BFSI, government, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and the resources sector.

    In delivering this program of research over the last six years Emilie has been a leading analyst within IDC for mining sector research and insights as IDC has built this research focus. Emilie is frequently asked to present at industry and vendor events, forums and roundtables, and has keynoted IDC's CIO Summits in 2014 and 2015.

    In his role at IAG, Australia and NZ’s largest general insurer, Ian has been the lead architect on a number of transformation programs including both core insurance platforms and enterprise capabilities such as Document Management, SAP, SuccessFactors, Fieldglass, ServiceNow etc. The platforms Ian has helped architect, are now leveraged as a digital backbone across the IAG group, with over 100 thousand documents being digitised, transformed and managed every day. Ian brings over 20 years of experience across both financial and professional services industries, including 14 years with KPMG. In recent years, Ian has become a regular presenter at industry events and has shared IAG’s experiences leveraging technology to help transform and digitise the IAG business.

    At the start of 2015 Jeroen took on a new challenge within the EMC Content Division to lead the InfoArchive product line.

    Jeroen also serves as the CTO for ECD setting the technology direction for the division and he runs the global InfoArchive organization for ECD. Jeroen was inducted as an EMC Distinguished Engineer in 2011.

    Jeroen is a member of various EMC wide initiatives such as the CTO Council, the Industry Technical Advisory Council and the FDE community.

    Prior to becoming the CTO he had the role of Chief Architect for the EMC Content division. 

    Jeroen joined EMC from X-Hive Corporation (acquired by EMC in 2007) where he co-founded the company.  He was the CEO and CTO of the company raised several rounds of venture capital and successfully sold the company to EMC.

    Jeroen holds a masters degree in Computer Science from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, a bachelor’s degree in Econometrics & Quantitative Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He also has a bachelor’s degree (ing) in Mechanical Engineering from the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Rotterdam)

    John O’Melia

    John O’Melia is Senior Vice President, Customer Success and Solutions at EMC’s Enterprise Content Division (formerly Information Intelligence Group). He works hand-in-hand with Sales to ensure customers experience productivity gains and competitive advantage by better managing their business content. He leads services experts across ECD Consulting, Education, Support, Customer Success and Cloud Services and drives ECD solutions success.

    John has increasingly broadened his scope of responsibilities throughout his 10+ year career at EMC, building on his passion for customer success. He has run the product organization, sales, and professional services organizations for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He later led the global services business as Senior Vice President, ECD Worldwide Services.

    John joined EMC in 2004 from IBM where he was a Partner in the firm’s Business Consulting Services group. Prior to IBM, John spent seven years working as a Management Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P.

    John holds a BA (Hons) Computing in Business from Huddersfield University in the UK. He is based at EMC’s ECD corporate headquarters in Pleasanton, California. He resides in the Bay Area with his wife and four children.

    Martin Richards

    Martin is currently responsible for the Energy & Engineering Industry Solutions business within EMC’s Enterprise Content Division. Based on his extensive experience in the industry and with content management solutions, Martin has worked with customers and lead the effort to design, develop, and deploy industry solutions aimed at managing documents and processes with the engineering functions of energy companies.

    Martin started his career as a Plant Engineer in the Automotive Industry in the UK before moving to Intergraph’s Plant Design Team in the late 1980’s and has been in the IT industry since then. Martin started working with the Documentum products in 1995 while at Cap Gemini and was a founder and EVP at McLaren Software and established their US operations.

    Patrick McGrath

    Patrick McGrath joined EMC's Enterprise Content Division in 2014 to lead Product and Services Marketing. Having spent much of his career working with content management as a practitioner, customer and consultant.His interests span the full portfolio of ECD’s offerings and how to leverage them within the context of digital transformation initiatives.

    Prior to EMC, Patrick led consulting engagements for the crowdsourcing industry and startups, with a special emphasis on business models and technology strategy. He spent 12 years at UC Berkeley, responsible for the strategy and delivery of data and content services including: business intelligence; imaging, BPM, records, archiving; WCM ; content management for research and museums; and collaboration platforms. Prior to UC Berkeley, Patrick held senior management roles within DigitalThink (an early SaaS eLearning company) and Documentum. The remainder of Patrick’s 30 year career includes consulting, business development, technical delivery and management within startups and established enterprises.
