Vision
To increase the accuracy and capabilities of its next-gen AI-powered EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, Subaru had to advance its AI models’ analysis and inferencing capabilities. This meant accelerating the ingestion and analysis of camera footage from test vehicles and simplifying data access and sharing across sites.
Solution
Subaru built a high-performance solution with Dell PowerScale storage, a storage engine of the Dell AI Data Platform, and leveraged the platform’s built-in cluster-tiering capabilities, SmartPools and CloudPools. By doing so, Subaru abstracts away file locations and types so its developers and data scientists can easily work with the same data regardless of where they are.
Impact
Today, Subaru’s AI and software developers have the storage scalability, performance and reliability required to drive innovation. They can quickly rightsize workloads’ storage nodes as needed — and they have more time for critical work because Dell AI Data Platform automatically moves data to the right storage tier based on its usage.
“Dell Technologies is helping us harness the power of AI right now to improve the automotive experience of the future.”
