About the Author: Sandro Tavares

Sandro leads enterprise server marketing at Dell Technologies. His team is responsible for the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for the infrastructure platforms that power the majority of Dell’s compute footprint, from edge and far-edge systems to data center servers supporting AI inference and modern enterprise workloads.

Prior to this role, Sandro spent five years building and leading Dell’s Telecom go-to-market marketing team, helping establish Dell Technologies as a key player in the telecommunications industry’s shift to a cloud-native, open network architecture. That work spanned 5G infrastructure, Open RAN, and network transformation programs with the world’s largest service providers and network equipment vendors.

Before Dell, Sandro spent the majority of his career at Nokia, where he held sales and marketing leadership roles across Brazil, Argentina, Finland, and the United States, including his last position as Head of Mobile Networks Marketing.

A recognized industry voice, Sandro has spoken at major conferences worldwide on topics ranging from 5G and Cloud RAN to data center modernization and AI. In 2020, Fierce Wireless named him a “Rising Star” for his impact on the wireless industry. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Universidade de Brasília and an Executive MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral in Brazil.
