When the Dell Security Management Server (formerly Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition) policy that controls the action to be taken when the smart card is removed from the smart card reader is set to Lock the workstation, and the smart card is removed from the reader -  the endpoint should lock. However, if the same setting is configured in the Endpoint's Group Policy to leave the endpoint in an unlocked state, the endpoint does not lock when the smart card is removed.
