PowerEdge Server : LifeCycle Controller Update

Note: This article is part of the Server Tutorials: Update, available here.

This article provides information about how to update your system's firmware from the Lifecycle Controller on server generation 11G, 12G and later. Firmware for your system is available for downloading on Dell Support. To enter the Lifecycle Controller, press <F10> during boot. Before you start the updates, please make sure a network connection is set up if you want to use an online method of updating (HTTPS or Network share).

To set up the Network, go to Settings from the main menu, and then select Network settings. This needs to be set to valid details for your network.

Note: Any network settings in the Lifecycle Controller will not affect the normal Operating system once you have booted back to it.
