In this video, we will demonstrate how to install Windows 10 on a virtual machine and how to connect the computer's host hard drive and USB to the virtual machine. First, let's see how to install Windows 10 on the virtual machine to begin installing Windows 10, select the system name and click connect, press any key on your keyboard to boot from the CD or DVD. Next, enter your language and other preferences and then click next, click and stall.
Now if the activate Windows page is displayed and if you want to use the Windows mac volume license, enter a product key. But if you want to use an OEM version of Windows, click, I don't have a product key. Select the operating system you want to install and click next, read through the license agreement. If you agree to the terms, select I accept the license terms and click next, then select the custom install windows only option. Select the unallocated space. Click new if required, change the size and then click apply. Four new partitions are created.
Select the primary partition and click next. After installation, the virtual machine is rebooted. Next, select the region and keyboard layout, set up the network if required and then click connect. Now, enter your user name and click next, enter your password and other preferences for the PC and then click next. Finally, let's see how to connect the computer's host hard drive and USB to the virtual machine.
After windows 10 is installed, the connect to my VM window is displayed, click show options and select the local resources tab, click more and select drives and other supported plug and play devices. You can expand the list to verify if all the options are selected and click. Ok, select the display tab, then select the save my settings, future connection to this virtual machine option and then click connect.
You can now log into your PC and verify the hard drive and USB connectivity.
