I'm Trey Morton, a systems engineer with the Dell Precision Work Group, and I'm here to talk about Dell Precision Performance Optimizer or DPPO. Dell Precision Performance Optimizer is an application that automatically configures your system to the optimal settings for your professional applications. Additionally, it manages system resources and tracks performance for future analysis, so I'll show you how easy it is to use.
Once DPPO starts, you'll see the home page that shows you past and current CPU memory storage and graphics utilization. Del Precision performance optimizer is based on three pillars profiles and policies, system maintenance, and tracking analyze. The profiles and policies tab. Have specific optimizations for your ISV applications. For example, if you use a single threaded modeling application, you can have policies that restrict the number of cores and disable hyper threading.
When you're ready to render, enable hyper threading and bring the number of cores back. So when you're using your software instead of you making the changes every time you wanna run a particular aspect, DPPO changes your settings automatically and it's persistent and you don't have to worry about changing them back again when you're finished. The system maintenance tab is where you track all your updates for every aspect of your system from hardware to drivers to firmware. And what's important about this is it keeps your system in optimal performance. Another thing that DPPO does automatically is schedule your system updates for when you want them.
When you really wanna know what's going on with your system, go to track and analyze. Here you can select what subsystems you want tracked the report frequency and duration. Once you have that information generated, it'll tell you everything that your system is doing, which is key to keeping your system in optimal running order.
