Here's how to update Firmware and OS Deployment Drivers with iDRAC8. First, use the Dell Repository Manager to create an SUU ISO. Connect to the iDRAC Web UI. Then launch the Virtual Console. In the "Virtual Media" menu, select "Connect Virtual Media", then "Map CD/DVD".

Click,"Browse", select your ISO, then click "Map Device". In the "Next Boot" menu, select "Lifecycle Controller", Then power on, or restart the system. In the Lifecycle Controller, select "Firmware Update", then "Launch Firmware Update". Select "Local Drive". Selection defaults to the Virtual CD. Select the updates to apply. Once updates are complete the server will restart.
