Important Note: After upgrading Dell Networking PC8100 Series switches to firmware version 6.0.0.8 or later; the system model ID will show as "N4000" in CLI, Web UI and SNMP interfaces. Dell PowerConnect 8100 Series switches supports N4000 firmware versions 6.0.0.8 and later. Both Dell PowerConnect 8100 Series and Dell Networking N4000 Series switches shares the same firmware image version (for example., N4000v6.0.0.8.stk). Dell Networking PC8100 series switches can be stacked with Dell Networking N4000 series switches with the entire stack required to run 6.0.0.8 or later firmware. Dell Networking PC8100 series switches can support both 5.x and 6.x firmware versions, but Dell Networking N4000 can support only 6.0.0.8 and later firmware versions.

1) Download the zip file - PC8100v6.0.0.8a00.zip (2) Extract the image file "N4000v6.0.0.8.stk" from the zip file (3) Install the image to the switch by following the upgrade procedure "Upgrading Dell Networking PC8100 Series Switches From Version 5.x.x.x to 6.0.0.8 Firmware.pdf" extracted from zip file.
