This package contains the Dell System BIOS update and is supported on Dell OptiPlex 5060 Tower, OptiPlex 5060 Small Form Factor and OptiPlex 5060 Micro for Windows Operation System.

To download the BIOS utility file, do the following:
1.Click Download File to download the BIOS utility file. 2.When the File Download window is displayed, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.
To run the BIOS update utility from Windows environment, do the following:
1.Navigate to the location where you have downloaded the BIOS utility file. 2.Double-click the file. The system restarts and updates the BIOS. The system reboots after the BIOS is updated successfully.
To run the BIOS update utility from DOS environment when the Legacy Boot Mode is enabled for Non-Windows users, do the following:
Note: You must use a bootable DOS USB drive. This executable file does not create the DOS system files.
1.Copy the downloaded file to a bootable DOS USB drive. 2.Turn on the system. 3.Press F12, and select USB Storage Drive. 4.Boot to DOS prompt. 5.Run the file by typing the copied file name where the executable is located. The system reboots after the BIOS is updated successfully.
To run the BIOS update utility from BIOS boot menu, independent of operating system, when BIOS is supported.
Note: The USB drive need not be bootable.
1.Copy the downloaded file to a USB flash device. 2.Insert the USB flash device into any USB port. 3.Turn on the system. 4.Press F12 to access the one-time boot menu. 5.Select BIOS Flash Update in the Other Options section. 6.Click on the ... button to browse the USB flash device to locate the downloaded file. 7.Select the file and click Ok. 8.Confirm the Existing System BIOS Information and the BIOS Update Information are as expect. 9.Click Begin Flash Update. 10.Review the Warning message and click Yes to proceed with the update. System restarts and Flash Progress bar displayed on the Dell logo screen as the BIOS update is being performed. 11.Restart the system. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note : Ensure you suspend the BitLocker encryption before updating the BIOS on a BitLocker enabled system.
