Symptoms

The storage only node is stuck on the Centos screen and appears to be stopped.

Cause

In the  /etc/rc.d/rc.local file, the line bash /root/post_install.sh is left, causing a no limit timed job at startup and never lets the user log in.

NOTE: If you hit the escape key the Centos splash page will disappear and show the last few lines of the startup log.  From there you will see it is still running the rc.local script.

Resolution

SSH should still be working.  Simply putty into the storage only node and remove the post_install.sh script from the rc.local file.

You can place the SO node in maintenance mode in the presentation server and then reboot it to get a clean boot.
