Instructions
Only rebooting the ESXi 8.x host can remove the old dead path entries for the NVMe devices.
Note: There is a change in behavior in ESXi 8.x where rescan will not remove dead paths for NVME devices, this is a change brought in from VMware side.
If not NVMe device(s), adapter rescan should clear the dead path entries.
