AIX Lpars log VFC4_ERR10 events - Error during MADS/IO Transportation

Symptoms

Multiple AIX Lpars have paths failing to log in to the same target (PowerMax FE port).
All health checks on the FE port pass cleanly.

Lpars log the following to error report after port reset on the FE:

Cause

The root cause in this situation was due to a code (acl tcam programming) issue on the relevant Cisco switch component. The absence of APAR IJ35977 on the AIX Lpars further exasperates the situation.

Resolution

Install APAR IJ35977 on the relevant AIX Lpars.
In this scenario, the Cisco code discrepancy must also be addressed on the MDS Switch.
