Dell BSAFE SSL-J 6.3 Release Advisory

Oversigt: The Dell BSAFE Product team announces the release of Dell BSAFE SSL-J 6.3. This release integrates Dell BSAFE Crypto-J 6.2.5 as its underlying FIPS provider.

Description

This release is designed to include the following new features and changes: 

FIPS 140-2 Related Changes:

  • SSL-J now checks the return value of Assurance.isValidPublicKey() and Assurance.isValidPrivateKey() in accordance with the latest Crypto-J Security Policy update. 
  • SSL-J now uses a partial IV for GCM cipher suites in accordance with the latest FIPS 140-2 Implementation Guidance. 

Non-FIPS Related Changes:

  • Remove JsseProvider14 class. 
  • Updated operating environment support.
  • Fixes for specific issues.
