Ursache

Il problema può verificarsi quando sono presenti file del descrittore di istantanee temporanei orfani nella directory dell'archivio dati della macchina virtuale. Questi file del descrittore snapshot vengono visualizzati come ####.-000001.vmdk, ###.-000001-sesparse.vmdk e ###.-000001-ctk.vmdk.

  1. Sfogliare il datastore della VM interessato per identificare i file temporanei del descrittore. Il nome può essere visualizzato come: 
    • ####-000001.vmdk
    • ####-000001-sesparse.vmdk
    • ####-000001-ctk.vmdk 
  2. Identificare una cartella con spazio sufficiente per spostare i file temporanei del descrittore e crearne una nuova
    • vmfs/volumes/VM_####_DATASTORE5/FOLDERNAME/
  3. Spostare i file del descrittore temporaneo nella cartella appena creata
  4. Eseguire una snapshot della VM e dell'istantanea validate creata correttamente.
  5. Eliminare tutte le snapshot con l'opzione "Delete All Snapshots".
  6. Convalidare l'istantanea eliminata.
  7. Verificare che non siano presenti file del descrittore nella cartella del datastore della VM.
  8. Attendere l'esecuzione dei backup vProxy pianificati.
