Instructions

  1. Download the related operating system driver from dell.com/support and select extract.

  2. Select an 'easy to find' location and select "Make new folder," name it, and extract the exact driver payload to that folder.

  3. Go to the server iDRAC and ensure that Java is enabled for the iDRAC console.
    Note: The option to create image is only available within the Java Plug-in Type in the virtual console.

  4. Open the virtual console and select create image:

  5. Select the folder that the driver extracted to is correct and "create a new image file from a source folder."

  6. The image is created click Finish.

  7. Then Connect to the iDRAC virtual media and select Map Floppy or Removable Disk and select the image file that was created.
