Cause

SyncIQ bases all its change transfer on attributes visible in a snapshot. SyncIQ can only transfer atime from source to target. When a source file has had some other modification that does trigger a COW, for instance a permissions change.

Resolution

This is by design, a feature enhancement request has been submitted for future code.
