Symptoms

Application of NVE Platform operating system rollup 2022 R4 v6 fails during step 17 of 18, with error "Failed to start NetWorker Management Console."

Command journalctl -xe shows:

-- Unit gst.service has begun starting up.
Feb 23 15:51:45 NVE_host gst_linux.sh[11988]: ERROR: NetWorker client (nsrexecd) is not running
Feb 23 15:51:45 NVE_host systemd[1]: gst.service: Control process exited, code=exited status=1
Feb 23 15:51:45 NVE_host systemd[1]: Failed to start NetWorker Management Console. -- Subject: Unit gst.service has failed

Cause

The GST service tries to start before the NetWorker client service is running (nsrexecd). 
ERROR: NetWorker client (nsrexecd) is not running

Resolution

Manually start the nsrexecd service using the command: 
systemctl start nsrexecd
Monitor the /nsr/logs/daemon.raw file for any errors regarding nsrexecd service startup. See knowledge base articles:
