Symptoms

VMのバックアップは、しばらく実行した後に失敗します。UIにエラー コードが表示されます ABV0016 そしてメッセージ:

VM direct engine local host is unable to backup the virtual machine because the API issue

VMバックアップ失敗エラー コード: ABV0016

vmdm.logに次のエラー メッセージが表示されます。

vSphere UIから、次の障害が表示されます。

Task Name Status: Perform LWD-based snapshot sync
Cannot complete the operation. See the event log for details. A disk was closed during the operation. This can happen due to VM lifeCycle events such as VM power off, vMotion and HA failover. The operation should be retried.

LWDベースのスナップショット同期の実行に失敗しました

VMwareの製品であるCloudDRは、PowerProtect Data ManagerによるVMバックアップ時に、VM上でスナップショット アクションを実行しています。上記のスクリーンショットでは、PowerProtect Data Managerバックアップの実行中にCloudDRによって「Reconfigure virtual machine」タスクが実行されています。これにより、PowerProtect Data Managerのバックアップが失敗します。

Cause

PowerProtect Data ManagerバックアップとVMwareのCloudDRアクティビティーの重複

 

Resolution

VMwareのCloudDRのスケジュールを変更して、CloudDRアクティビティーとPowerProtect Data Managerバックアップが重複しないようにします。
