NetWorker REST API -käyttöliittymää käytetään NetWorker-tietosuojapalvelun ohjelmalliseen käyttöön.  NetWorker Authentication Service (authc) -palvelu on määritetty NetWorker-etäpalvelimessa, joten NetWorker REST API -pyynnön on sisällettävä authc-tiedot.  NetWorker REST API v3 -käyttöliittymä ja uudemmat voivat sisältää authc-palvelimen mukautetulla otsikolla.  Avaimen arvon tulee sisältää authc-palvelimen IP-osoite tai täydellinen toimialuenimi (FQDN) ja authc-portti (default=9090):

Seuraavassa API-asiakkaan esimerkissä näytetään, miten tätä otsikkoa käytetään ohjeistamaan API Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) -tunnusta käyttämään otsikossa määritettyä isäntää valtuutusta varten URI:ssä määritetyn isännän sijaan.
