Connectrix B-Series: DIAG-6004 messages in the RAS log
Summary: DIAG-6004 messages in the RAS log may not be indicative of an issue.
Symptoms
The DIAG-6004 message was recently added to log additional debug information.
In one case when a trunk primary port was decommissioned and reenabled, the customer saw that lots of DIAG-6004 messages continue to stream in the RAS log.
While not a cause for concern from an operational perspective, the messages can wrap the RAS log quickly making troubleshooting other issues more difficult.2016/06/13-14:11:46:028238, [DIAG-6004], 2738279/0, CHASSIS, INFO, 5100, test_thread: tname porttestgetstatus fcn exits - PID: 2601, parameter.c, line: 1453, comp:insmod, ltime:2016/07/14-14:11:46:0266942016/06/12-15:11:29:793102, [DIAG-6004], 8385/0, CHASSIS, INFO, 6505, test_thread: tname diagshow Calling fcn - PID: 30847, parameter.c, line: 1448, comp:insmod, ltime:2016/07/13-15:11:29:790743 2016/06/12-15:11:29:796263, [DIAG-6004], 8386/0, CHASSIS, INFO, 6505, test_thread: tname diagshow fcn exits - PID: 30847, parameter.c, line: 1453, comp:insmod, ltime:2016/07/13-15:11:29:795378 2016/01/28-09:10:17:434404, [DIAG-6004], 47815/0, SLOT 7 | CHASSIS, INFO, DCX, test_thread: tname diagshow fcn exits - PID: 985, parameter.c, line: 1453, comp:insmod, ltime:2016/02/29-09:10:17:434161
