Symptoms

The DIAG-6004 message was recently added to log additional debug information.

In one case when a trunk primary port was decommissioned and reenabled, the customer saw that lots of DIAG-6004 messages continue to stream in the RAS log.

While not a cause for concern from an operational perspective, the messages can wrap the RAS log quickly making troubleshooting other issues more difficult.

Cause

The DIAG-6004 message was recently added to log additional debug information and is not considered an indication of a problem.

Resolution

Issue addressed in FOS releases v7.4.1e, v8.0.2, and v8.1.0.
