PowerPath Management daemon messages in Syslogs

Symptoms



PowerPath will log messages as Management daemon has started with default configuration. Also to use emcp_mond_edit utility to configure remote management.
Error Message: "Warning: Management daemon has started with default configuration.
Please use emcp_mond_edit utility to configure remote management or to enable SNMP traps as needed."

Cause

Expected warning messages when PowerPath get logged together with Linux Kernel

Resolution

This is expected and acceptable behavior.This message can be safely ignored.  It has no affect on the quality or functionality of PowerPath
