Symptoms
Following error is seen in the DPA Application Server server.log:
ERROR [com.emc.dpa.restapi.RequestInterceptorFilter] (http-/0.0.0.0:9002-3) Could not obtain localhost address! Message: hostname: hostname: Name or service not known
This error can cause the DPA Application Server to be unable to run reports successfully or process incoming data from Agent requests
Cause
The DPA Application server is unable to resolve the hostname
Resolution
Ensure that the DPA Application Server is able to successfully resolve the hostname listed in the error message. This may require DNS or the local host file to be updated.
