執行程式 pwconv 和 grpconf， 以在安裝完成後啟用鏡像密碼。若要執行此作業，請執行下列步驟：

  1. 在主控台提示字元中輸入# pwconv，然後按下 <Enter>鍵。
  2. 輸入# grpconv，然後按下 <Enter>鍵。
備註：執行pwconv和grpconf會在/etc/passwd和/etc/group中加密密碼，並將其移至檔案/etc/shadow和/etc/gshadow。只有根使用者可以存取/etc/shadow和/etcgshadow。這些程式是由 RedHat Linux 作業系統 CD 上的 shadow-utils-19990827-18.i386.rpm 安裝。新增群組時，若要將新使用者或群組新增至個別受保護的檔案，您應在新增使用者或grpconv時執行pwconv。
