Symptoms

A alteração foi que o nó foi reinicializado. Você pode não ver essa mensagem para todas as unidades, talvez apenas uma ou duas unidades em todo o cluster.

O usuário vê o alerta abaixo, ou algo semelhante, e deseja saber o que causou o problema e se uma unidade falhou: 
Resolved: The write-cache for the drive in the following location is enabled: Chassis Serial Number JXXXXXXXXXXXX1, Node 4, Sled E, Slot 1, Type HDD, LNUM 0, Serial XXXXXXXX. OneFS disabled the write-cache to comply with recommended drive settings. Replace the drive according to the instructions in the H400 Drive Replacement Guide.

Nota: Isso só é visto em clusters Gen6.

Cause

O problema é que, por padrão, o cache de gravação na unidade está desativado e, durante uma reinicialização, o cache de gravação parece ter sido alterado para ativado. O sistema relata essas informações, que geralmente são superficiais e podem ser ignoradas ao verificar o valor Write Cache Enabled.

Isso é abordado em uma versão futura do OneFS. A equipe de engenharia da Dell está trabalhando para alterar as notificações de eventos.

Resolution

Execute os comandos abaixo para confirmar o status da unidade e se o cache de gravação da unidade está desativado:     
  1. Verifique o status das unidades e verifique se há unidades que não estejam íntegras:       
# isi_for_array 'isi devices list | grep -iv "healthy" | grep -iv "L3"
  1. Verifique se o cache de gravação da unidade está desativado:       
# camcontrol modepage da<drive da number> -m 8 -P 0
# camcontrol modepage da<drive da number>-m 8 -P 1
# camcontrol modepage da<drive da number>-m 8 -P 2
# camcontrol modepage da<drive da number>-m 8 -P 3
