Overview: System Lockdown mode helps to prevent unintended changes after a system has been initially configured. This feature can help in protecting the system from unintentional or malicious changes. Lockdown mode is applicable to both configuration and firmware updates. When the system is locked down, any attempt to change the system configuration is blocked. When the system is in lockdown mode, any attempts are made to change critical system settings result in an error message being displayed.

How to configure System Lockdown Mode using Dell EMC OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter.
1. Log in to vCenter UI
2. Under Inventory, then Hosts and VMs view, expand the Datacenter and Cluster as applicable.
3. Right click a host, and select OMIVV host Actions.
4. Click Configure System Lockdown Mode.
5. Click the Turn On radio button and click OK.
6. Click OK on the confirmation page
7. Confirm that Lock Down Mode has been enabled by logging in to the host's DRAC UI.
Actions such as updating firmware are no longer possible.
