Symptoms

  • VMware 虚拟机 （VM） 通过 NetWorker VMware Protection （NVP） vProxy 应用装置进行保护。
  • 备份失败，并显示错误：
Failed to open DDBoost connection to DataDomain host "DFC-DDXXXXXX": [5008] invalid argument

Cause

在 vProxy 备份使用的备份设备上启用直接光纤通道 （DFC）;但是，未为 VM Direct DFC 备份配置 vProxy 应用装置。

Resolution

选项 1：

配置 vProxy 应用装置以支持 VM Direct DFC 备份和恢复操作。有关 VM Direct DFC 要求、限制和配置要求，请参阅《NetWorker VMware 集成指南》。

选项 2：

从用于虚拟机备份的 NetWorker 设备中删除光纤通道设置：

1。登录 NetWorker Management Console （NMC） 并转至 Devices-Devices> 。
提醒：对于 NetWorker Web 用户界面 （NWUI），请转至“Devices and Media”->“Devices”。
2.打开虚拟机的 NetWorker 保护策略所使用的设备的设备属性。
3.确保清除“Auto Media Management”（自动介质管理）框，以防止设备在下一步中自动重新装载。
4.卸载设备。
5.再次打开设备属性，清除“启用光纤通道”并删除“光纤通道主机名”。保存更改。
6.装载设备。重新启用“Auto Media Management”（自动介质管理）（如果之前已启用）。
