Symptoms

  • VMware VM(Virtual Machines)은 NetWorker NVP(VMware Protection) vProxy 어플라이언스를 통해 보호됩니다.

Failed to open DDBoost connection to DataDomain host "DFC-DDXXXXXX": [5008] invalid argument

Cause

DFC(Direct Fiber Channel)는 vProxy 백업에서 사용되는 백업 디바이스에서 활성화됩니다. 하지만 vProxy 어플라이언스는 VM Direct DFC 백업에 대해 구성되지 않습니다.

Resolution

옵션 1:

VM Direct DFC 백업 및 복구 작업을 지원하도록 vProxy 어플라이언스를 구성합니다. VM Direct DFC 요구 사항, 제한 사항 및 구성 요구 사항에 대한 NetWorker VMware 통합 가이드 를 참조하십시오.

옵션 2:

VM 백업에 사용되는 NetWorker 디바이스에서 Fiber Channel 설정을 제거합니다.

1. NMC(NetWorker Management Console)에 로그인하고 Devices-Devices로> 이동합니다.
참고: NETWorker NWUI(Web User Interface)의 경우 "Devices and Media"->"Devices"로 이동합니다.
2. VM의 NetWorker 보호 정책에 사용되는 디바이스의 디바이스 속성을 엽니다.
3. 다음 단계에서 디바이스가 자동으로 다시 마운트되지 않도록 "Auto Media Management" 상자가 지워지는지 확인합니다.
4. 디바이스를 마운트 해제합니다.
5. 디바이스 속성을 다시 열고 "Fiber Channel 활성화"를 지우고 "Fiber Channel Hostname"을 삭제합니다. 변경 사항을 저장합니다.
6. 디바이스를 마운트합니다. 이전에 활성화된 경우 "자동 미디어 관리"를 다시 활성화합니다.
