How to upgrade NetWorker from a previous version on the Windows platform

Steps to upgrade from a previous version.

Verify the OS and NetWorker compatibility in E-Lab Interoperability Navigator before initiating the upgrade.

Download the wanted version for upgrade from the NetWorker Drivers & Download page on Dell Support.

Download the binary and extract the version.

Right Click and "Run as Administrator" on the NetWorker package to begin the installation.

Accept the License Terms and Click "Next."

Select the wanted option to "Configure the Windows Firewall" or "Do not configure the Windows Firewall." Choose the appropriate based on the requirement.

The installer "Grey Out" components that are detected on the NetWorker Server. Click Next to continue.

Click "OK" on the License Server requirement notice.

Verify the Authentication Server Hostname and the Port Number (9090 Default). Click "Next."

Use the Keystore password for the Authentication Server. Customers have this information.

Verify the NMC install Folder path, the Authentication Server hostname, and Port number. Click "Next."

Verify the Certificate and Key path for NMC secure connection. Click "Next."

Verify the NMC Database path, Client Service Port (9001), and Web Server Port (9000). Click "Next."

Select "Keep the Database" for upgrade.

Click "Upgrade" to start the Installation.
