Symptoms

PowerProtect Data Manager index job for virtual machine backups fails with an error message similar to the following: 
Search indexing job with job id XXXXXXXXXXXXXX is partially success. Index activity completed with exceptions and message - The asset is partially indexed. The extraction of disk 'XXXX', partition 'X' was aborted.  Corrupt partition.

Cause

This is a software defect.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in PowerProtect Data Manager 19.16 cumulative hotfix 2 release.
