Dell Unity: Fornetix KMIP server failto enable (Dell Correctable)

Summary: Forsøk på å konfigurere en ekstern KMIP-server (Fornetix Key Management Interoperability Protocol) for å lagre og lagre Unity-systemets D@RE mislykkes. Følgende feilkode vises: 0x7140900D og en tilsvarende feilmelding: "Aktiveringsoperasjonen for KMIP-serveren ble ikke fullført." Fornetix KMIP-serverprogramvare var nødvendig fordi VMware ESXi 8.x-verter er i bruk, og den kjører på en virtuell maskin i miljøet. Sluttbrukeren hadde prøvd å kjøpe Dell CloudLink KMIP-programvare fra Dell til å begynne med, da det også støtter VMware-miljøer. CloudLink-programvaren er ikke lenger tilgjengelig for kjøp fra mars 2023. Symptoms

KMIP aktivering ble forsøkt både fra kommandolinjen og i Unisphere. Ulike feil ble vist om ikke å ha 3DES-krypteringsprotokollen lagt til det primære Fornetix CA-sertifikatet. Dette kreves for å importere sertifikatet fra Fornetix KMIP-serveren til Unity-lagringen. 

3DES-feilene ble løst, men KMIP-serveren ville fortsatt ikke aktiveres. 

Unisphere-feilen under konfigurasjonsforsøket var: 
The KMIP server enablement operation did not complete successfully.  Please review the event logs and health status of the system. (Error Code:0x7140900d)

Unisphere viste bare følgende i hendelsesloggen: "Brukerdomene </bruker> har forsøkt å aktivere KMIP uten hell" etter hvert mislykkede forsøk.
 

Cause

Loggutdataene fra Unity c4_sade_sm.log ble gjennomgått, noe som viste at Fornetix KMIP-serveren ikke støttes for Unity-lagringsprodukter.

Resolution

Dells teknikere ble engasjert og bekreftet at Fornetix KMIP serverprogramvare ikke støttes for Unity-lagring. 

Dell e-Lab Navigator-matrisen viser at Fornetix ikke er oppført for Unity-produkter.
