Symptoms

Scenario

En PowerFlex-enhet 16G med kundens RHEL-avbildning för MVM PowerFlex Manager Platform-noderna (PFMP) – RHEL 8.10.

PFMP-installationen misslyckas i det andra steget vid 74 %.

bedrock.log visar följande fel:

 fatal: [host1]: FAILED! => changed=false
 assertion: ansible_failed_task is ot defined and ansible_failed_result is not defined
 evaluated_to: false
 msg: |2-
       The failed task in the block: "Install fluxtoolkit via helmrelease"
       The reason for failure is: "Error: INSTALLATION FAILED: failed to download "plafform/flux-toolkit" at version "v0.21.2-29.5bac9c54""

Påverkan 

Det gick inte att distribuera PFMP.

Cause

CMO kräver UMASK 022 för korrekt inställning av Helm-diagrammen. UMASK 027 tillhandahåller root med rwx-behörigheter, gruppen med r-x-behörigheter och inga behörigheter för andra.

Resolution

Ändra umask-värdena på alla tre MVM-noderna (PFMP) genom att följa denna KB – PowerFlex: Så här tillåter du olika umask-värden på PFMP-värdar | Dell Indien 

När värdena har ändrats återställer du PFMP-installationsprogrammet, konfigurerar det och initierar PFMP-installationen genom att köra följande skript i ordning:

# /opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/reset_installer.sh
# /opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/setup_installer.sh
# /opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/install_PFMP.sh
 

I versionskommentarerna för Dell PowerFlex 4.6.x, sidan 18, står det följande:

Symtom: Installationsprocessen för PowerFlex-hanteringsplattformen kräver att umask är inställd på Linux-standardvärdet (022). Om du har ändrat standardinställningen för umask har helm-avbildningarna inte rätt behörigheter när det är dags att hämta avbildningarna. 

Rekommenderad åtgärd: Ändra umask till 022.
