Cause

The diagnostic version 5.4.13, 5.4.14, 5.4.15, and 5.4.16 introduces the Limp Home Mode (LHM) function status detection and triggers the 2000-0128 error code when an LHM failure state occurs.

Resolution

Ignore this error code 2000-0128 if there is no function impact.

The engineering department is working on a fix to be released in a new version of BIOS. The updated BIOS is posted to the computer's support page once it is made available in December 2025.
