Symptoms
When a Dell 16 DC16250 or Dell 16 DC16251 has the LCD lid function set to do nothing, the camera app is opened, and then the lid is opened and closed, the camera app either stops responding or displays a black screen.

Cause
This is not a hardware or camera application issue. This is expected behavior in Windows 11 (version 24H2) when the LCD lid function is configured to do nothing.
Resolution
Microsoft states this will not be resolved and is not a normal usage case.
To recover the camera app, close the app and reopen it.
