VxRail: Troubleshooting general vSphere HA issues

Summary: This article provides general troubleshooting steps for vSphere high availability (HA) issues.

Instructions

An error such as the following may display with vSphere HA:
 
vSphere HA agent for this host has an error: vSphere HA agent cannot be installed or configured
 
The first step in troubleshooting should be to disable HA then enable HA.
 

  1. In the Home screen, click Hosts and Clusters.
  2. Locate the cluster.
  3. Right-click the cluster and click Settings.
  4. Click vSphere HA located under Services.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Clear the Turn On vSphere HA option.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Edit.
  9. Select the Turn On vSphere HA option.
  10. Click OK.

 Verify that the error has cleared.
