在 動態集區建立 精靈上，必須選擇最少數量的磁碟機才能建立集區。此數量直接取決於所選的 RAID 類型 ，如果未滿足最小磁碟機數量，將會發出警告。下表顯示 RAID 類型、RAID 寬度，以及建立集區最小磁碟機數量之間的關係。此表僅顯示支援的最小 RAID 寬度，以及建立這些寬度所需的最小磁碟機數量。例如，系統支援的最小 RAID 5 RAID 寬度為 4+1。以 RAID 5 4+1 組態建立的最小動態集區為 6 個磁碟機。最低磁碟機數量包括 RAID 寬度中指定的磁碟機數量，外加滿足備援空間需求的額外磁碟機。
