Symptoms
VxRail: vSAN Health Service - Network Health - Unexpected vSAN cluster members
On the vSphere Web client we see the following message:
vSAN Health Service - Network Health - Unexpected vSAN cluster members
Cause
- External vCenter (windows)
- Witness host is exiting
- Stretched cluster
Resolution
Please check the following items:
- Check for any node not in-connected state (Most probably will not find any) .
- Check the witness. If it is "not connected" and/or "not responding" then connect it back to vCenter. The error should disappear along with any other errors
- If the witness is connected, try disconnecting it and re-connect it back
- Retest the health page
Note : if you find a warning about No datastores have been configured . Unfortunately, there is no supported way of disabling this warning at the present time. This will be resolved in a future release of vSphere.
