Symptoms
Pool LUN Expansion fails with error code 0x670100b:
The system could not modify the LUN because the storage pool does not have enough space for the LUN and its associated metadata.
Cause
Due to a known code issue on Dell Unity 4.5 OE, the current size of the LUN is incorrectly calculated.
Resolution
This issue has been fixed in the codes 5.0.0.0.5.116 and above, as such, the recommendation is to upgrade the Unity O.E. code to resolve the issue.
If upgrade is not an option, contact Dell Technologies Technical Support or your Authorized Service Representative, and quote this knowledge base article ID for a workaround to expand the LUN.
