Pool LUN Expansion fails with error code 0x670100b - The system could not modify the LUN because the storage pool does not have enough space for the LUN and its associated metadata.

Cause

Due to a known code issue on Dell EMC Unity 4.5 OE, the current size of the LUN is incorrectly calculated.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in the codes 5.0.0.0.5.116 and above, as such, the recommendation is to upgrade the Unity O.E. code to resolve the issue.

In case of upgrade not being an option, please contact Dell EMC Technical Support or your Authorized Service Representative, and quote this Knowledgebase article ID for a work-around to expand the LUN.
