Symptoms
A Data Mover panic occurred when performance statistics commands were used.
Cause
Code changes were included in 8.1.9.217 to mitigate a rare stats issue when a system was under very high load. These changes introduced a condition which can lead to a Data Mover panic in certain conditions.
Resolution
It is recommended to upgrade to VNX File OE 8.1.9.231 or higher to mitigate this condition. It is always recommended to upgrade to the latest available code, but at a minimum, this code is required to correct this issue.
If full upgrade is not feasible, VNX File OE patch 8.9.1.21704 can be applied to prevent another panic until such time as a full upgrade can be performed.
