SourceOne Email Management: SourceOne console unable to load Snap-in

After installing SourceOne Console component and once the MMC Window for SourceOne console is open, the below error is received:     
 
MMC Could not create snap-in.

MMC could not create the snap-in. the snap-in might not have been installed correctly.

Cause

The issue is due to missing Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) installation. This piece of software is part of the prerequisites for SourceOne Console installation.

Resolution

In order to resolve this issue, perform the following steps:     
  1. Uninstall SourceOne Console
  2. Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010  (https://www.microsoft.com/Download/confirmation.aspx?id=26999)
  3. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010
  4. Install SourceOne Console

SourceOne development team plans to improve SourceOne Console installation package to validate if the correct version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 is installed prior to installing the SourceOne Console.

This issue is expected to be resolved in Service Pack versions of EMC SourceOne Email Management after 7.2.9.xxxx.
