Instructions

Het hulpprogramma Marvell Command-Line Interface MVCLI en MVSETUP BOSS-S1 biedt een methode voor het verkrijgen van informatie en het manipuleren van de BOSS-controller. Dit omvat het beheren van virtuele schijven, het verkrijgen van de SMART-status van harde schijven en meer. Dit KB-artikel behandelt de installatie en het algemene gebruik.

 

Minimale ESXi-vereisten:

  • ESXi 6.0 U3 P06
  • ESXi 6.5 U1

 

Ondersteunde Linux-versies:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL)
  • RHEL 7.3
  • SUSE Linux ES (SLES) 12
  • Ubuntu 16.04

 

Ondersteunde Windows-versies:

  • Windows Server 2012 R2
  • Windows Server 2016

 


 

Installatie

 

ESXi:

1) Download de nieuwste MVCLI van https://dell.com/support
2) Draag de ZIP over met uw voorkeur SCP toepassing zoals WinSCP naar de /tmp directory op de ESXi-host.
3) SSH in de ESXi host en installeer deze met de volgende opdracht: 
 

esxcli software vib install -d /tmp/[FILE-NAME-OF-DOWNLOAD.zip]



Voorbeeld van installatieopdracht en -uitvoer:

 

[root@localhost:~] esxcli software vib install -d /tmp/SAS-RAID_BOSS-S1_CLI_A00.zip

Linux:

1) Download de nieuwste MVCLI van https://dell.com/support 2) Breng de ZIP over met behulp van uw favoriete SCP-applicatie
(bijvoorbeeld WinSCP) naar de /tmp directory op de linuxhost.
3) SSH naar de linux host
4) Navigeer naar  /tmp
 

[root@localhost ~]# cd /tmp

4) Unzip the archive (file name may be different based on version)

[root@localhost tmp]# unzip mvcli\ 4.1.13.31_A01.zip

5) Navigate to installation directory (directory name may be different vased on version) :

[root@localhost tmp]# cd /tmp/mvcli\ 4.1.13.31_A01/i386/cli

6) Apply executable permission (must be done using root or sudo) :

[root@localhost cli]# chmod +x install.sh mvcli

 


 

Windows: 

1) Download en installeer de nieuwste BOSS Management Driver DUP vanaf https://dell.com/support
2) Download de nieuwste MVSetup van https://dell.com/support
3) klik met de rechtermuisknop op het ZIP-bestand en pak het uit.
 


 

Gebruik

 

ESXi:

  1. Verander de directory in de installatiedirectory:
cd /opt/boss-s1

 

 

  1. Gebruik van mccli:
./mvcli ?
